SMCA of Philadelphia is proud to announce that SMACNA’s Director Nominating Committee has released its slate of candidates to fill four positions on SMACNA’s Board of Directors. Gary Luthe, of SMCA Philadelphia member firm Luthe Sheet Metal, Inc., is one of the nominees, and will likely become a SMACNA Director when the vote is taken at the Annual Convention in Maui, Hawaii, this October.

  • Matt Sano, of Fisher Balancing Company, and former SMCA President, has been nominated to serve as Vice Chairman for the SMACNA Council of Chapter Representatives. The Council brings ideas and problems directly from contractor members to formulate into recommendations to the Board of Directors. Matt has also been reappointed to serve on the SMACNA ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) Task Force.
  • Jordan Thomas, of Thomas Company, Inc., has been appointed to serve on the Architectural Sheet Metal Council Steering Committee.
  • Ernest J. Menold, P.E., of Ernest D. Menold, Inc., has been reappointed to serve on the Technical Resources Committee, and has an additional appointment to serve on the Industrial Contractors Council Steering Committee.
  • Mike Brown, of Environmental Construction Services, Inc., has been appointed to serve on the SMAC PAC Committee and the SMACNA Legislative Committee.

SMCA of Philadelphia has a long and proud history of local and national committee service. That tradition of service to the industry is continuing, as SMACNA has drafted other SMCA Member firm representatives for committees and task forces.
