SMACNA Chapter Education Program – “Effective Project Teams”

On Thursday June 9^th, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., we will be hosting a SMACNA Chapter Education Program called – “Effective Project Teams.” This program will be presented by Andrew Patron. Andrew has been working in the construction industry for over thirty years leading, managing and developing people with private and public sector owners. He started his career as a management engineer, analyzing operations, studying work process flow, and creating industrial engineering solutions. For the past 15 years, he has dedicated his life to Talent Development. He has been all over the world evaluating, creating, and implementing hundreds of talent development programs.

The full-day seminar will require participants to be fully engaged to discuss ways on using feedback to drive better performance in areas such as job cost feedback and personal feedback. Participants will also discuss subcontractor and supplier relations. In this area of Andrew’s expertise, he will have participants talk about the inherent conflict between general contractors and subcontractors, vendors and suppliers, how can you overcome these obstacles to build a strong project team, review the procurement process to determine acceptable levels of risk with subcontractors, and establish a proactive relationship with subcontractors to avoid project problems.
